And we're back ..

Yo! Just like that, another week wrapped up and is in the books.

Week 34/52. Isn’t that crazy?

65% of the year is done just like that.

It seems like summer just started, where did all the time go? I sound like my parents or honestly, every adult these days. As I’m getting older, I definitely start to feel like time is going by at a much faster rate. The whole thing with time feeling faster as you age actually makes a lot of sense.

Think about it.

• When you were 10 years old, 1 year represented 10% of your life.

• Now if you’re 20 years old like myself, a year is now halved, only representing 5% of your life.

And as you and I get older, that number just keeps shrinking. However, I’m a firm believer that time only goes by faster if you let it. 

Let me explain.

The vicious cycle

Most of us graduate, work a 9-5, and get trapped in the same perpetual loop, living a monotonous lifestyle. I’d say 90% of people fall into this trap, leading to their life resembling an instructional manual. A manual that is so fricken predictable. No wonder life goes by so fast dude.

Step 1 - go to college

Step 2 - get a job

Step 3 - have kids

Step 4 - teach them to do the same thing

And those same steps just get repeated over generationally. What a boring life man. I want my life to be a novel. A fricken movie. With plot twists left, right, and center. Where each scene, each chapter is completely different. And that book is of course written by nobody but myself. Imagine having your own book about your life not written by yourself.

Well, I hate to say it but that’s the reality for most people out there. We lose control over the direction of our lives, let go of the steering wheel, and drive directionless through life. Losing our creative abilities as the little kid inside of us slowly gets sucked out of us by the world. By our boss. By the economy. They wake up every day, taking their life for granted, thinking they will live forever.

What a sad reality for many people out there. But hey, you and I both know that the reality I just described couldn’t be farther away from ours. We are living an intentional lifestyle, one that is constructed by design and purpose.

On a more positive note

Alright, I’d rather not spend the entire newsletter talking about all my sobering thoughts about life. That’s not what this newsletter is about. It’s just hard to not have these thoughts when it is the reality that most people live in.

In the humblest way possible, I really couldn’t be more fortunate for the reality I’m living in. The reality that I chose from taking a massive leap of faith into the unknown.

But in the unknown, I’ve started to find comfort in knowing that I’m really not alone in this journey. Especially because in only 5 days, you and I will be playing an active role in each other’s journey.

The IRL Experience will be born.

The online platform will be underway. Weekly live calls with the brothers from the main tribe to smaller tribes. I’m very excited about what a lot of you guys will be getting to experience. An experience that I designed and thoughtfully planned out for my younger self in which all he wanted was something real.

Something IRL.

Speaking of IRL .. In less than 3 months from now, London baby. That will be a conversation for another time though. But for all the European guys in here, I better see each and every one of you boys there.

IRL week recap

In case you missed the pre-launch event, which 43 of you guys did lol .. We had about a 45-minute call with a friend of mine Jack. Jack is a personal branding entrepreneur and he discussed tips and provided tons of insight on the topic of personal branding.

We also had a Q&A on IRL and all the guys fired questions on IRL. We tried keeping the call as engaging and interactive as possible. I wanted it to be just like a call we would have in the community, with all the guys getting a chance to speak.

The call was supposed to be uploaded to Youtube for you guys to watch but the audio didn’t come out on Jack’s end for some reason. So forget about that lol.

Well, I don’t have too much else to say. Friday is coming around the corner and it’s almost go time baby.
