What if it's even better than you think?

Week in my life - 02/19 - 02/25

One thing I’ve been thinking a lot about this past week is how we’re all rapidly evolving as human beings.

We make decisions based on our present selves, yet our future selves won’t even recognize this present version of us.

We think that once we reach our goals, it’s going to feel a particular way.

Even if you haven’t experienced it before, you think you can get a taste of what it will feel like.

But what if I told you that that’s the farthest thing from the truth?

We are constantly growing.

Physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, etc.

We think we’re going to think, act, and behave a certain way.

But we can only see so ahead into the future to the extent to which we know ourselves.

It is not until you reach that point in time that you can truly feel the palpable sensations of that end destination.

This brings me to the title of this newsletter:

“What if it's even better than you think?“

Ponder upon that question for a second.

What if the feeling you think you’re going to experience ends up being 100x times better?

You have only experienced a set range of emotions in your lifetime so far.

The human experience is about experiencing such a diverse range of emotions.

The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, etc.

In that case, you can also flip it and ask yourself:

What if it’s worse than you think?”

What if the very thing you worked so hard for ends up not only not filling that void but making it bigger in your life?

This is often the case with the constant pursuit of materialism that brings no sense of true fulfillment in life.

Or what if the “safe option” or the “backup plan” ends up being a lot worse than you may have thought?

How would that make you feel?

Because we never truly know how we’re going to feel at that moment until we are immersed in the present moment.

So if you got anything out of this newsletter, it’s to spend some time imagining yourself reaching those goals or living a certain way.

Really try to meditate on it. Try to feel those emotions.

Feel the pain.

Feel the bliss.

But understand that no matter what, you will never understand completely the degree to which those emotions will be felt.

However, if you have a strong intuitive feeling that you’re on the right path, then the end goal will indeed be infinitely better than you thought.

The fruits of your labor will be sweeter than you can ever imagine.

Similar to how each IRL meet-up has made me feel certain emotions that I’ve never experienced before.

And giving me so many data sets and insights that I never saw coming.

So expect the unexpected, it’s part of life.

Embrace the uncertainty and always remember to be on the side of optimism.

It WILL be better than you can ever imagine, I promise.

Let’s finish off this last week of February strong, I’ll see you in March :)

Much luv,

Jared
