everything matters ..
Yo yo!
How’s it hanging?
Full of energy as I’m typing this out.
I wish there was a way where I could write these newsletters.
There’s something special about putting pen to paper.
I often get my most creative ideas through writing.
It’s amazing how much of a profound difference there is between writing vs. typing.
At the inception of my self-improvement endeavors, I began to journal.
I had no clue what to expect.
I didn’t think I’d get much value out of it.
Boy was I wrong.
I’ve had many preconceived notions surrounding different habits I’ve incorporated in my life.
It’s amazing how many things I’ve been wrong about.
“Reading is boring”
“Who journals?”
“Who cares about making my bed in the morning?”
These were just some of the many thoughts I used to have.
But as I delved deeper into self-improvement, the more I learned that everything matters.
The way you tell your mom “I love you”.
Or in today’s case, the way you tell your mom “Happy Mother’s Day”.
People remember the little things.
And oftentimes, it’s not what you say but how you say it.
Many things in life, you can’t explain in words but only feel with emotions.
And I’m starting to experience that first-hand more and more in my life.
A great example was gifting my mom her Mother’s Day present today, along with a card.
It wasn’t necessarily the words I wrote in the card but the energy I poured into it.
It may not of been the actual gift that was so special to her but the thought and meaning behind it.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my weekly reflection. I also hope you and your mom had a great Mother’s Day.
Now let’s go crush it together this week and continue to make our moms proud!
PS: 25 more days until my road trip across the states (more to come about that soon)
