The IRL Newsletter
Have to get something off my chest
How’s everyone doing? Before I get right into this newsletter, I just had to bring something up that was on my conscience for a little bit now. As you guys know, I do this newsletter every Sunday at 9 pm EST. I’m not too sure if you guys picked up on it but I didn’t publish one last week. How irresponsible? How unprofessional? You’re exactly right. It was irresponsible and unprofessional of me. This sounds crazy but I literally had a hard time sleeping that night because of the guilt that was building up in me. Regardless of anybody even noticing the missing newsletter, I did. And that’s all that matters. On this journey and in the community I’m creating with IRL, I preach accountability and responsibility. So it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t practice what I preached by holding myself accountable and letting you know that life just got in the way. I was out and about Sunday night and I couldn’t deliver a timely, high-quality newsletter. That being said, I’d like to make a promise to you guys and myself that every single Sunday at 9 pm for the rest of the year, you can expect an email from me in your inbox. Now time to make this newsletter extra special and make up for last week. Enjoy the read guys :)
Life update
Anyways, moving along, I’ve had quite an introspective last 2 weeks. Ever since I got back from the meetup in Miami, I haven’t stopped thinking about the importance of my environment. I’m confident that it is the single-handedly most important determinant of my success and probably the same for each and every one of you behind the screen. We all know how important it is to manage and keep track of our consumption from what we watch, what we eat, and what we listen to on a daily basis. But oftentimes, we lack the awareness to analyze other areas of our life where we’re consuming unconsciously. Information that is being downloaded into our software. Think about how much information you’re exposed to on a daily basis from your family, peers, etc. I thought about this and I’ve been learning to take everything with a grain of salt. An example is from this past week when my brother pitched me a whole new idea and business model for IRL. It sounded interesting but his idea just didn’t align at all with my vision for IRL. Regardless of how profitable and grand that idea was, it just wasn’t congruent with the impact I want to make and who I want to become. Additionally, it is way too early to even consider pivoting toward something else. I had to shut it down immediately but nevertheless, appreciated him playing devil’s advocate. On this journey, you quickly start to realize that you know yourself the best. And it’s important you find a balance between trusting yourself and having full confidence while also listening and valuing different perspectives and inputs. At the end of the day, I can sit here and confidently say that I’ve found my passion and I’m working towards it day in and day out. And I wouldn’t stay true to myself by letting others’ ideas or limitations as well as the environment I’m exposed to get in the way.
IRL Update
Alright, time for a brief update on IRL because this month is going to be absolutely INSANE. Without a question, this will be the busiest month of my life. Even busier than my University days with posting content, handling registration, website design, and a whole lot more. Lots of stress. But good stress. As you guys know August 18th is the date. The date when registration opens up for the online platform. I know I haven’t been posting much information on the platform and what to expect. These next few weeks, I’ll be posting general information on anything on how the platform will work. As well as the basic information such as membership fees and registration. In addition, I’ll be doing a free live webinar with a buddy of mine named Jack. He’s also a young entrepreneur like myself, who specializes in personal branding and is also a podcast host. Down below is a brief timeline of what to expect from IRL.
Important dates:
August 15th - Free live webinar (Q&A on IRL, answering any questions)
August 18th - Registration for the first launch of the online platform opens up
September 1st - Online platform officially launches (registration closed)
October TBD - IRL meet up (location announced soon)
Also, in case you missed out, I posted an absolutely legendary vlog from our first meet-up in Miami on Youtube. The first of many Youtube videos that’s for sure. Feel free to give it a watch and check out how that week went with 8 like-minded guys I met online from all across the world. From renting out a yacht to a fancy steakhouse with the boys, we absolutely lived it up in Miami. We just touched the surface though of what’s possible with the digital environment and IRL. I can’t help but project into the future and think of how many more amazing trips and experiences there will be to come all across the world.
Till next week ..
Well, that’s about everything I wanted to cover here. I tried to mix it up between a little update on my personal life and with IRL. As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, I’m really trying to treat this as a journal for myself. This may sound a bit strange but I’m basically thinking about you guys as myself. And in a way, it makes sense because most of you guys are exactly like me. You guys understand the journey, the vision, the battle and it’s refreshing to know that. You guys are all a part of the army and we’re all going to war together. Even though it may not be as big as I’d like to have it right now, I know very well how big this army will get. Lastly, I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate all 45 of you subscribing here.
Hope you guys all had a relaxed Sunday to unwind, reflect and project onto this upcoming week.
I’m quite busy coming up but I always have room to connect with you guys and touch base so any of you guys are more than welcome to hop on a brief call to chat with me this week. My Calendly is linked below.
Love you guys.
Jared
