You'll never guess what got me out of bed this morning

What’s going on guys?

I hope you guys have all had a blessed week.

A week filled with high vibrations and positive energy.

Because I think we all need it and deserve it.

I didn’t realize how important the idea of positivity and good energy is until I went to Costa Rica.

On Monday, I flew home to Toronto.

You can only imagine the difference.

Even though I was ready and prepared to go home, I didn’t expect there to be such a massive adjustment.

I got so soaked up into the environment and lifestyle in Costa Rica that coming back home here has been quite an adjustment.

Aside from the harsh weather, there are so many noticeable things that just seem off where I’m from.

Things that have become normalized for any metropolitan city in North America.

Nobody seems to say hello or smile.

People look quite miserable.

And the energy is just off.

I guess nothing has really changed since I left.

It’s more so that I changed.

I’ve become so attuned to the energy around me that I’m more aware of the energy feeding me vs. the energy draining me.

I can’t change my environment and any of these factors that are outside of my control.

However, I can change my internal state.

And I understand how pivotal it is to have an internal locus of control.

Being in Costa Rica, I was actually influenced more by my outside environment.

However, now the change has to start with me.

I have to be the one saying hi to strangers in the gym, smiling at people and spreading the positive energy.

And I think I’ve already had that impact on some people indirectly.

I visited my former school this past weekend to catch up with some buddies as well as to see an IRL member to film a podcast and interview strangers with.

And I bumped into quite a bit of people that I knew from University.

People that were more so acquaintances of mine through classes, mutual friends, etc.

What caught me off guard was the overwhelming amount of positive things they had to say about me and what I’m doing.

So many people were coming up to me and telling me how inspiring I am to them and how much they’re rooting for me.

I’ve never felt anything like that before.

It’s one thing to inspire people within your niche and audience.

But it’s a whole other feeling to inspire people that may not even resonate with your message.

They are more so, supporting your journey from the sidelines and are hoping for the best for you.

That was what got me out of my bed in the morning.

That was what got me fired up to shoot the podcast today.

So the question that I want to ask you, which was actually the same question I asked the IRL boys on today’s call ..

“What has inspired you or motivated you this past week to get out of bed in the morning?”

To the reader who’s currentely reading this, answer that question for yourself and let me know.

Send me a DM on Instagram @jaredsmall_ and I’d truly love to hear from you!

(It would probably make my day and be the reason I got out of bed that morning)

Cheers to another beautiful week ahead, I can feel it for the both of us.

Much luv,

Jaed
